The Top 5 Foods to Avoid on the Road
Let's be honest. We've all had at least one road story gone wrong. Chances are, we thought to indulge in something that sounded like a good idea at the time but ended badly. I talked to some musician friends and compiled the top 5 worst foods to consume while road tripping:
5. Curry
God only knows who thought this would be a good idea. Curry is great for you - it is said to help fight infections. However, it may be a painful experience if you eat before hopping on the tour bus going through West Texas. Just sayin'.
4. Pigs Feet
It's gross enough that I even have to add this to the list - but I was warned by more than one artist, so apparently it's a big deal. Fried or pickled, stay away from these gems at the bar. Or just stay away in general.
3. Wendy's Chili
Apparently this chili is the definition of ROAD HAZARD. I'm not sure why you would attempt fast food chili, but for the sake of everyone else - I have been warned to stay far away. If you decide to go for it - warn everyone else to clear the area.
2. Buffet Food
Let's be real, this should always be avoided. You don't know what you're eating and how long it's been there. And if you don't know, your stomach certainly doesn't know either. Just say no -- you'll save a few rounds to the bathroom.
1. Gas Station Food
I have to be honest -- I know an artist that didn't quite make it to the next rest stop because of these gas station 'delicacies'. If you don't reject these pre-heated burritos up front, I guarantee your body will reject it for you...and when you least expect it.
