American Aquarium have been on the road for more than eight years, but the band took the scene by storm over the last two years with their album "Burn. Flicker. Die."

I saw American Aquarium for the first time this year at MusicFest in Steamboat Springs, Colo., and these guys are special. Their songs are full of passionate lyrics, soulful sounds and they really just know how to have a great time.

The band is ready to hit the studio to record their brand new album, "Wolves," and they need your help.

"Wolves" promises to be one of American Aquarium's finest creations, and you can do your part by donating at Pledge Music to help these guys get into the studio from June 8-20.

Here's part of their message on their funding page:

"We are very happy to announce that we are ready to start recording our sixth studio record, Wolves, next month. We will be doing the record at Echo Mountain Studios in Asheville, NC from June 8-20 with our friend Brad Cook at the helm. This is a batch of songs that picks up right where Burn.Flicker.Die. left off. It’s about the picking up the pieces of broken relationships, overcoming addictions, and growing stronger from the struggle.

We feel this is one of the strongest batches of songs that we have written to date. We are truly firing on all cylinders. The shows are better. The songs are better. A new life was given to this band after Burn.Flicker.Die., and all of the thanks goes to you, the fans. Without your support over the last 8 years, we would be nothing more than a local bar band. It’s because of you that every year has gotten better and better. We are eternally grateful to have such an amazing, supportive & responsive fan base.

All that said, at the end of the day we are still an independent band. We have no big shot record label feeding us cash, no fancy agent that puts us on all the major tours. We are a close knit, grassroots organization that pools every cent we have to make sure we are giving the fans the best product we can…and sometimes that burden is too much for us to carry alone."

The band is offering some pretty sweet perks for those who donate, from signed CDs and vinyl to private house shows and you can even spend a weekend on the road with the band. Some donation opportunities will even include you as an Executive Producer on the new record.

Check it all out in the link below and help these guys keep making kickass music. They're something special.
