If anyone should be prone to writing about rural life of the American middle class, it is Angaleena Presley. This coal miner's daughter is not afraid to tell it like it is, bluntly yet poetically:

“I have lived every minute on this record.  My mama ain’t none too happy about me spreading my business around but I have to do it,” Presley says.  “It’s the experience of my life from birth to now.”

"Pain Pills" is just a little taste of the truth that is missing in country music. If you're going to Steamboat Music Fest this January, be sure to catch her live! You can grab this tune off the American Middle Class album here!
