Annual Watermelon Thump Returns to Luling This Weekend

Luling, TX is site to one of Texas' most iconic festivals, The Watermelon Thump. This weekend folks from across the Lone Star State will descend upon the tiny town to thump watermelons and enjoy great live music.

This year's event will be highlighted with performances from William Clark Green, Jason Boland and the Stragglers, Gary P. Nunn, and many more.

Watermelon says "Summer" like nothing else! Each year thousands enjoy this timeless Texas tradition honoring the nutritious, wonderful watermelon. The Watermelon Thump hosts a Carnival with kiddie rides, Beer Garden, over 15 Food Booths, Arts & Crafts Competition, Children's Entertainment, Dances, shaded Exhibitor's Market, Queen's Coronation, Champion Melon Judging and Auction, Gospel Jubilee, Salute to Veterans on Sunday, World Champion Seed Spitting Contest with ca$h prizes, a GIANT Parade, Melon Eating Contests with ca$h prizes, large Classic Car Show on Sunday and much more!
