On Saturday (Oct. 22) Former President George W. and First Lady Laura Bush hosted a joint 70th birthday celebration, complete with a George Strait performed a private concert at their Crawford, TX ranch.

Guests included former U.S. Secretary of Commerce Donald Evans; Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones and his wife, Gene; Ross Perot, Jr.—the son of 1992 presidential candidate Ross Perot—and his wife, Sarah.

People reports that attendees were served a dinner of southern favorites including smoked beef tenderloin, fried catfish, and a Texas chocolate sheet cake complete with birthday candles.

Guests, reportedly, enjoyed an intimate performance from country music legend George Strait, who led the group in singing “Happy Birthday” to the former president and first lady.

The former president turned 70 on July 6th and Laura Bush’s birthday is Nov. 4th. See more photos of the special event, right here.
