Happy Birthday King George!

All hail the KING!

We want to send out the happiest of birthday shout-outs today to the KING of country music, the one and only Mr. George Strait.

George Strait was born on this day in 1952 in the small Texas town of Poteet and the rest as they say is history.

History was made last year when the cowboy officially rode away from his decades of touring and wrapped up his record-breaking career with his Cowboy Rides Away tour at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

The Who's Who of country music came out in full force to wish today's Birthday Boy farewell, including one special guest, George's son--George "Bubba" Strait, Jr. -- to perform for the first time ever, a song he wrote for his Dad's Twang album, "Arkansas Dave".

Happy 63rd birthday to our humble King, George Strait.
