Miranda Lambert's "Mama's Broken Heart" is the No.1 song in the country. It appears on Lambert's latest CD, 'Four The Record', and is an in-your-face, rocking country tune delivered with tons of attitude -- which we've come to expect from Miranda. But did you know the song was actually co-written by Kacey Musgraves and Shane McAnally?

Kacey recorded her own version of the song Miranda is making famous, and it's a very different - but equally excellent - rendition. It's a more melodic interpretation, loaded with mandolin and a much more acoustic feel. Take a listen here.

Kacey's version doesn't show up on her new CD, 'Same Trailer Different Park', and there's no telling if it will ever make an album.

The praise keeps coming in for Musgraves, who is currently on tour with Kenny Chesney. Southern Living is calling the East Texas singer/songwriter "The next big thing". Rolling Stone Magazine has her as an "Artist to Watch". And her feature on CBS "Sunday Morning" boldly states that she is "taking country music to new horizons".

As much as I enjoy Miranda's rocking interpretation, I love how the Musgraves version keeps a country edge. What do you think?
