Our third annual Red Dirt BBQ and Music Festival is in the books, oh and by the way, it was our third straight sellout.

This year we brought in twenty-two BBQ joints from all over Texas. We had live music from Bri Bagwell, The Dirty River Boys, William Clark Green, JB and the Moonshine Band, and Turnpike Troubadours resonating off the brick streets of downtown Tyler all night. All in, over 4,000 people took part in this year's festivities.

Back stage we caught up with festival performers to discuss everything from their favorite 'cue of the day, to new music, new albums, and broke-down vans.

In the process we wound up stealing WCG away from his parents, and Bri Bagwell made a helluva pitch to a potential a new sponsor. Ball's in your court Lone Star Beer.

Huge thanks to Tyler Ford, 101.5 KNUE, Grant and Flannery, 281 Lodging and everyone who made the weekend a resounding success. Red Dirt BBQ & Music Festival will be back in 2017, and we'll be announcing next year's joints, and lineup soon -- although it's going to be hard to top this years.
