We love us a good live television performance 'round these parts. Earlier this week Flatland Cavalry, who dropped a new album last Friday, stopped by CBS Austin to sing a new song called "Old School."

Flatland Cavalry's debut album Humble Folks sent ripples throughout the Texas / Red Dirt scene upon its release in '16. This gave the Lubbock-based band the-always-unenviable task of following up a smash record, but that is exactly what they've done.

Cleto Cordero and crew released their sophomore project, Homeland Insecurity, on Friday (January 25). Front man and chief songwriter, Cleto (pronounced like meadow) moved to Lubbock from Midland to follow in the footsteps of other Texas greats including Pat Green, Josh Abbott and William Clark Green. So far so good for one of Texas Music's most humble folks. Their current single "Honeywine" is Top 5 on the Texas chart.
