In an interview with a Canadian radio station, Nashville singer/songwriter Zac Brown said he his ashamed of the the country music genre of late. Even calling out Luke Bryan's latest single "That's My Kind of Night" as the worst song he's ever heard.

But he's not the first. Alan Jackson and Gary Allan, even Tom Petty have had less than optimistic things to say about the current state of the genre in whole.

But Brown's words seem to have crossed some unspoken rule in the scene, by calling out someone of the "same fraternity." So, both Jason Aldean and Justin Moore came to the defense of Byran, and modern country music.

Well, now Grammy winning singer/songwriter Will Hoge (Eli Young Band's "Even if it Breaks Your Heart") -- who had a No.1 in Texas earlier this year with "Another Song Nobody Will Hear," and who's current single "Strong" is racing up the Texas charts, has put them all back in their place with a single tweet:

Point. Match. Hoge.
