Everyone needs a certain appreciation for the classics - those songs that inspired the Texas and Nashville tunes we hear today. There was a certain honesty in songwriting back in the day that deserves to be recognized and remembered.

Roger Miller, a native of Fort Worth, was one of those songwriters that didn't take himself all too seriously. He was a wonderful writer and had an outlandishly witty sense of humor, which revealed itself in his stage presence. Check out his live performance of 'Do Wacka Do' and you'll see this wild child I'm talkin' about.
