The first-ever Red Dirt BBQ & Music Festival is coming to Tyler on May 3, 2014, and the event dropped some big news late Wednesday night by announcing Randy Rogers Band as the concert's headliner.

Red Dirt BBQ & Music Festival revealed the news after reaching its goal of 1,500 likes on its Facebook page Wednesday night. It's been a loooong time since RRB graced Tyler with their presence, so this will be the biggest show in the Rose City in quite a while.

Red Dirt is Saturday, May 3, 2014 around the square in Downtown Tyler. The festival will feature the best in barbecue, music and beer from around the Lone Star State.

Fifteen of the best barbecue restaurants from all over Texas will be on hand at the event for festival-goers to sample smoked meats from each one -- similar to an experience you would find at Texas Monthly's annual BBQ festival in Austin.

Randy Rogers won't be the only band in attendance -- more acts will be revealed soon.

Ticket prices and more details are still to come. Be sure and like Red Dirt BBQ & Music Festival on Facebook, follow it on Twitter and go sign up for email updates at their website, which will go live shortly after the first of the year.

Radio Texas, LIVE! and 101.5 KNUE in East Texas are proud to be a part of presenting this event, and we hope you'll join us for a great time with Randy Rogers Band and much more!
