If you got a VIP ticket to Red Dirt BBQ & Music Festival on Monday (Feb. 16), be glad you did, because they didn't make it to Tuesday.

The second Red Dirt BBQ & Music Festival (Saturday, May 2 in Downtown Tyler) saw its VIP tickets sell out completely on the first day of ticket sales Monday.

More than half the allotted VIP tickets sold within the first 10 minutes they were on sale.

Red Dirt BBQ & Music Festival features 18 of Texas' top barbecue restaurants, as well as a Texas + Red Dirt concert featuring The Bigsbys, Uncle Lucius, Kyle Park, Stoney LaRue and headliner Josh Abbott Band.

There are still general admission and concert only tickets available, but they're going fast, too. General admission tickets mean participants can sample every barbecue joint and attend the concert, while the concert only ticket-holders come in at 5:30 p.m. for the concert to start at 6 p.m.
