After his album, Metamodern Sounds in Country Music, was released in 2015 Sturgill Simpson has knocked the music world on its ass.

Well, not the whole music world... Not yet. Slowly but surely.

Since the release, Simpson has landed late night musical guest spots, traveled across the country to perform in front off sold out crowds, become a voice for music lovers, and in December his latest album, A Sailors Guide to Earth, was nominated for a Grammy, in the Album of the Year category.

That’s right, he is pitted against Beyoncé, Drake, Justin Bieber, and Adele. His inclusion in the category prompted folks around the world to inquire “Who the f*ck is Sturgill Simpson?”

Sturgill was the first musical act of 2017 on Saturday Light Live’s January 14th episode. Simpson performed “Keep It Between the Lines” and “Call To Arms” from his Album of the Year Grammy-nominated, A Sailor’s Guide to Earth. What a performance! Suffice to say that millions of people who hadn't known of the singer before, now know exactly who the f*ck Sturgill Simpson is.
