Germans know about beer, Cinderella-esque castles, Sauerkraut and bratwurst all too well. Today our Volkswagen drivin' European friends are learning about Texas Music.

The past two years, Stewart Mann of the Statesboro Revue has taken on the role of Buddy Holly in a tribute to the music legend's life. This Fall, Mann is returning as Holly for one night only at Rock Box Theater in Fredericksburg.

The blues brothers... or so they seem. Stewart Mann and his brother Garrett have a knack for writing smooth grooves you can't help but bob your head to. In all seriousness, this song has been stuck in my head for days, and not in a bad way.

Stewart Mann and the Statesboro Revue have spent a bit of time in East Texas over the past six months. The guys opened up for Wade Bowen in January, and got the crowd ready to party for Whiskey Myers in December.

In August The Statesboro Revue opened up for their pals Whiskey Myers at Cowboy's, and in the process opened up the floodgates, y'all dug 'em! So, due to very popular demand, this Wednesday (10/29) frontman Stewart Mann is all set to be my musical guest for Radio Texas, LIVE! at Cowboy's.

I've run into a dilemma recently... some friends who just moved to Texas from New York, are in need of some new music. Naturally, my inclination is to give them a taste of Texas Country, although they aren't big country fans. Or they aren't yet... muahaha.

I wish more often there were songs like this which resonates on the inside – a song that is pure and fresh. It should happen more often than not. Live a little – everyone’s mantra for the summer. Am I right, or am I right? I love these dudes to death, and their no B*S* music...
