Time to get tickets is winding down. We are closing in on our second-ever Red Dirt BBQ & Music Festival, presented by Tyler Ford, on Saturday, May 2, in Downtown Tyler. Yeah, hard to believe but we are less than 4 weeks away -- and tickets are going fast.

Sometimes you just want to get into the groove. That foot-tapping, knee-slapping, head-bobbing kind of groove where you just can't help but move your body. I'm talking about the kind of music that speaks to the soul and seeps into your bones; the music that these artists below dominate.

The latest project from Josh Abbott Band, 'Tuesday Night' EP, was released toward the end of 2015. The guys saw the first single off of it, 'Hangin' Around' shoot straight to the top of the Texas Music charts, today it's your RTX Sunday Video.

Last week Josh Abbott and the boys stopped by SI Now to perform their recent No. 1 Texas smash, 'Hangin' Around.'

Uncle Lucius got soul. And they happily share it with anyone who'll listen.

This year Uncle Lucius took home New Duo/Group/Band of the Year honors at the Texas Regional Radio Music Awards. And while definitely deserving of any accolades thrown on them, these guys probably shouldn't be classified as "new."

In an effort to make their next album without the help of a label, and on their own terms Uncle Lucius is turning to their friends, family and fans.

Uncle Lucius is no stranger to making the drive up Interstate 35, taking a right on Highway 31 and ending up in Tyler for a show.

I've run into a dilemma recently... some friends who just moved to Texas from New York, are in need of some new music. Naturally, my inclination is to give them a taste of Texas Country, although they aren't big country fans. Or they aren't yet... muahaha.

I wish more often there were songs like this which resonates on the inside – a song that is pure and fresh. It should happen more often than not. For starters, how could you not like these guys? If anyone has soul, it's the men that make up Uncle Lucius...
