On this day, October 10th, in 1958, Tanya Denise Tucker was born in Seminole, Texas.

Tucker made her first splash on the Country charts with, “Delta Dawn,” in 1972. She was just 13 years-old.

During her career she notched several Top 10 and Top 40 hits, numerous successful albums, Country Music Association award nominations, and hit songs including “What’s Your Mama’s Name?,” “Blood Red and Goin’ Down,” “Lizzie and the Rainman,” and “Strong Enough to Bend.”
