Their 2011 album Down the Hatch was an amazing debut project. That year, The Damn Quails, headed by Gabriel Marshall and Bryon White, had us all certain we had found the future of Red Dirt. And now after a year on "indefinite hiatus," is Red Dirt's future back?

Earlier this month The Damn Quails announced a return to performing, which has fans hopeful.

After their strong debut, it was nearly five years before they Oklahoma-based band was able to put out a follow up album. Delays, due to legal problems, seemed to just drain the duo of life.

They were free to finally release their second album Out of the Birdcage in September of 2015, however not long after its release though the Damn Quails hung it.

But now they're back!

The boys have announced two shows thus far. You can catch them in Norman, Ok at The Deli on Thursday (July 20), and Round Up Outdoor Music venue in Boerne, Texas on October 14th -- with the promise of more dates announced soon.
