What happens when the World's Largest Honky Tonk goes smoke free? We are about to find out. On May 1st, Billy Bob's Texas caught up with most of the bars in Texas, and no longer allows cigarette smoking inside it's hallowed halls.

The decision was made based on several years of customer surveys that were sent out via email, said Chris Spinks, the venue’s director of marketing. “Smoking was an issue that was consistently brought up,” Spinks said. “We put this policy in place because of that.” Spinks said the honky-tonk now has an outdoor smoking patio on the east side of the building. It has picnic tables, fans and stream lights. Billy Bob’s website includes a statement that e-cigarettes won’t be allowed.
