Everyone needs a certain appreciation for the classics – those songs that inspired the Texas and Nashville tunes we hear today. There was a certain honesty in songwriting back in the day that deserves to be recognized and remembered.

Buck Owens was a beloved country music act, especially in the 1960s-70s during the peak of his career. Although he was born here in [Sherman] Texas, the Lone Star State couldn't hold onto him too long with plans to extend his music beyond our borders.

You may recognize one of his biggest hits - 'Act Naturally.' This tune was Owens' first No.1 single, which spent 4 consecutive weeks in the No.1 spot! It was even re-recorded by The Beatles, ain't that somethin!
