#TheClassics: Guy Clark ‘Texas Cookin”

Everyone needs a certain appreciation for the classics – those songs that inspired the Texas and Nashville tunes we hear today. There was a certain honesty in songwriting back in the day that deserves to be recognized and remembered.

Guy Clark is no doubt one of the darling songwriters of Texas with over twenty albums in his repertoire. His songs have been recorded and performed by numerous artists including Johnny Cash and John Denver.

His most recent album, My Favorite Picture of You, pays homage to his late wife, Susanna Clark, who died in 2012. Susanna had been with him since the beginning of his music career, including when this, Texas Cookin', became his second single to hit the charts.
