Everyone needs a certain appreciation for the classics – those songs that inspired the Texas and Nashville tunes we hear today. There was a certain honesty in songwriting back in the day that deserves to be recognized and remembered.

Jack Greene, aka the 'Jolly Greene Giant,' is best known for his number one hit, There Goes My Everything, which made way for him to be the first man to ever win the CMA’s Male Vocalist of the Year award, in addition to Single of the Year, Album of the Year and Song of the Year at the inaugural ceremony in 1967.

Greene passed this last year, but his musical career is still highly recognized in the country music genre.
