Vern Gosdin was a country singer/songwriter with nearly 20 hits on the Country charts between 1977 and 1990, including "Set 'em Up Joe."

He was nicknamed 'The Voice' for his amazing knack of utilizing his expressive, low baritone voice -- similar to that of Josh Turner or Cody Johnson today!
