Miranda Lambert has a solid reputation as a mainstream act who legitimately cares about independent acts. And her new favorite independent act seems to be one of the biggest bands to ever come out of Oklahoma's Red Dirt scene, Turnpike Troubadours.

Evan and the boys will be opening on Miranda Lambert and Little Big Town’s co-headlining “Bandwagon Tour” beginning this week, and will play on select dates throughout the remainder of the summer. The Steel Woods, and Natalie Hemby will play the supporting roll on other  dates, and Canadian-based Tenille Townes will be warming up crowds throughout the tour.

Turnpike Troubadours latest single, "A Tornado Warning" is making its way up the Texas charts.
