I would like to think it is my job as a writer and music advocate to bring fresh new music and faces to your attention — I use the term “underground music” loosely, in the sense that these artists deserve much more attention than they are receiving.

We were incredibly sad when we heard the news of Sons Of Fathers splitting up. They had such a genuine sound and astounding harmonies, anyone could fall in love their music. Alas, all good things must come to an end, which leaves room for new beginnings. David Beck, bass player and vocalist from former Sons Of Fathers, has begun a new band with Bryan Mammel and Dees Stribling - Blue Healer.

If you go in expecting to hear the same sound as Sons Of Fathers, that's definitely not what you are going to get. I do assure you, though, that you will not be disappointed if you keep your mind open.

Blue Healer is a little more...well, psychedelic meets alternative folk? If that is a thing. Or as they like to call it, pop music with teeth.

Let us know what you think!
