I would like to think it is my job as a writer and music advocate to bring fresh new music and faces to your attention — I use the term “underground music” loosely, in the sense that these artists deserve much more attention than they are receiving.

A friend of mine used to work with one of these fellers from Western Youth, which is how I stumbled upon this magnificent group of guys.

If I had to, I would place them in the "alternative country" category - one of those rock meets Americana groups. Great sound all around. Check out track 5, "Black Freightliner" to get a good feel for 'em -- kinda reminds me of Lincoln Durham.
