Texas-based Whiskey Myers have a new album, Mud, set for release in September. And this week more good news for the guys, they have been nominated for Best New Band at the Classic Rock Awards.

So what are the Classic Rock Awards? Welp, according to their website:

For its 12th year, the Roll Of Honour is hitting the road again and venturing to Japan, where a star-studded show will take place at the Ryogoku Kokugikan Stadium on Friday, November 11, featuring a celebration of Jeff Beck, with Kirk Hammett, Phil Collen, Joe Walsh, Cheap Trick, Richie Sambora and Orianthi.

Once again, we're thrilled to say that it's been quite the year for high-voltage rock'n'roll since we last asked you to vote. After many hours, some raised voices and a fist-fight or two, Classic Rock's editorial team have come up with what we think is a perfect representation of the best the rock world has to offer. So please, take your time, peruse the categories and help us choose the winners of this year's Best New Band, Album Of The Year, Band Of The Year and Reissue Of The Year.

Click here, vote for Whiskey Myers, and let's bring this award to Texas.
