Last month everyone in Texas tuned in to watch Waco native, Wade Bowen, make his national television debut -- we all just love to see one of our own get a bigger spotlight. Well, last week Wade was on with us to talk about that, his new album with Randy Rogers, to debut his new single West Texas Rain, and more.

Network and cable television is taking notice of Sturgill Simpson's immense talent, even if country radio is yet to get on board. Last night Simpson was the musical guest on Conan, following up a July appearance on David Letterman, and more recently having music featured on FX's The Bridge.

For March Madness, this week, Conan brought his popular late night variety show to the Lone Star State, namely The Big D. To prepare for his trip, the Massachusetts native, has been doing more than just taking promo pics in cowboy hats and bolo ties -- he has apparently been boning up on Texas facts and trivia.
