I was just by chance venturing through old photos and videos on my Facebook page yesterday (Monday, Oct. 5), and came across something I haven't forgotten about.

With the end of August looming, I looked back on what we've gotten to hear so far in 2015. Dwelling on it, I'm blown away.

If the motto for Austin, Texas, is "Keep Austin Weird," the motto for South Austin, Texas, is "Keep South Austin Weirder." At least that's the case in Uncle Lucius' new video for "Don't Own the Right."

How good of dudes are the guys that comprise Uncle Lucius? When their van got stolen, on the very first night of 18 city tour, stranding them nearly 1,000 miles from home, all they ask of their fans is to "Please send your positive vibes our way."

One of the best things about the Texas, Red Dirt and Americana music scene is the rabid nature of the fans. These are the type of fans who can't wait to shout the name of the next big thing from the rooftops.

The long wait for Uncle Lucius to release their fourth studio album is almost finished. And your first chance to buy it is Friday night in Tyler.

Last Sunday night (May 10th) the tiny town of Van, just off HWY I-20, in East Texas was devastated by tornadoes. And while the city works to rebuild, the show of love, support and donations has been almost overwhelming.
