Sturgill Simpson's version of When In Rome's "The Promise," became one of the most popular tunes off his award-winning breakout album Metamodern Songs in Country Music.

Even though he isn't from Texas, or Oklahoma for that matter; since May we've been playing Sturgill Simpson's Turtles all the Way Down on Radio Texas, LIVE! (because by God someone needs to be). Last month Simpson made his network television debut on Letterman, introducing America to Life of Sin.
