Conrad Soriano Jr., Jon Wolfe’s Stage Manager, Loses Battle with COVID-19

The past few weeks, Jon Wolfe had shared a few encouraging posts regarding his friend and stage manager, Conrad Soriano, Jr., who was in the hospital after being diagnosed with COVID-19. Ultimately Conrad lost his battle.

Over the weekend, Wolfe posted that his friend passed away. I’ve had some sad days in my life, but today might take the cake. Today we lost our brother Conrad Soriano. Conrad was on the road to recovery, but he took a turn for the worse and was unable to recover. Conrad was not only my stage manager, but one of my best friends, my brother, my family. For the past couple years, Conrad would come get me on the bus and say “You ready boss”?!!...”Showtime boss”!!...”Let’s do this”!!. A shot of Juan Lobo Reposado (his favorite), our routine handshake, and off to the stage we would go. Even on nights where I was struggling to find the energy or nights where I was battling a sickness, he was always there to push me, support me, or pump me up to get on stage and do my best for our fans. On stage, I could always look over and see him singing every word to every song like they were brand new songs even though he’d probably heard them 1,000 times. He was always there for me, and for all of us in the band. The times we spent on the road and the stories from the road could go on forever, but there was more to our friendship than just touring. For those of you that know me, you know I’m a sucker for good (sometimes insane) home project….haha. Whether it was building a massive garden box for my mom, cleaning the garage, repainting my mom’s house, or reupholstering the interior of our new bus he was always right there by my side ready to give it hell! Even if we both knew we were “way over our heads on this one”…which I think he heard me say quite a few times. Jokingly, Conrad would say “Jon I’m making you an honorary Mexican amigo because you love to drink Tequila and you love to work your ass off”!!. He always had a smile on his face and we always had something to joke about. Conrad was also there for Amber and I on our big day last year making sure everything went smooth. He helped make that day the best day in our lives. He was always there for my mom, like a son…..just like he was always there for his family. His entire family meant the world to him, and we always knew that. Conrad took such pride in his family. (Continued in comments)
