Dallas Cowboys Legend Opens His Sports Bar & Grill In North Texas
Football Season Is Just A Few Weeks Away And A Dallas Cowboys Legend Has Opened Up His Own Place For Fans To Eat, Drink And Enjoy Games.
During his hall of fame career with the Dallas Cowboys, Michael Irvin became known as "The Playmaker" and he's carried on with that moniker even after his playing days ended a long time ago.
Now his nickname is the name of his new sports bar that he's opened up in North Texas and we're sure its going to be the hot spot for Cowboys fans near and far.
Playmakers88 is having a grand opening event this weekend.
Irvin took to his official Instagram account to share the news of the "grand opening" of Playmakers88 located in The Colony at 5005 State Highway 121, near Main Street and across the highway from the Grandscape development.
Playmakers88's kitchen will be led by Chef Rassuan "RJ" Johnson, whose menu will feature dishes from sports bar staples, such as chicken wings and burgers, to southern and seafood meals, including crab cakes. The restaurant will also have a cocktail menu and more than 20 beers on tap.
The restaurant plans to donate a percentage of proceeds this weekend to the Alzheimer's Association Greater Dallas.
According to WFAA, this weekend's grand opening events will feature live music, stand-up comedy and a celebratory blue carpet on Friday night, from 5 p.m. to midnight. Then, on Saturday, a family-friendly event of giveaways, autographs and photo opportunities will be held 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
So if you're out and about in the DFW Metroplex and would like to meet some Cowboys legends then you need to check out Playmakers88 this weekend or during the season when it kicks off.
