The fifth anniversary of the Red Dirt BBQ & Music Festival, presented by Tyler Ford, is upon us. So, it's time to get familiar with how things work.

Everything you'll need to know, from parking, to drinks, to music schedules, to BBQ joints and more is all right here. If you have a question that's not answered here, be sure and check our FAQ page here or our policies page here. Still no answer? Contact us here and we'll get back to you shortly.

What if it rains?

Red Dirt will go on rain or shine. In the event of severe weather, event coordinators, local authorities and the artists will decide whether to continue with the festival, keeping into account the safety of everyone in attendance. Event cancellation will be our last resort, and will only happen if necessary. As is printed on your tickets, refunds will not be able to be given.

Will there be tickets sold at the gate?

Red Dirt is completely sold out again this year. Unfortunately we will not have any tickets for sale at the gate.

My tickets are on my phone. Can you scan them from there?

Yep! Please just make sure the brightness is up on your phone. Makes it easier to scan.

I lost my email with my tickets. How can I get them?

You can log back into your account at Eventbrite.com and have your tickets resent to you so you can print them or have them on your phone.

Where do we park?

We recommend parking at the Fair Plaza Parking Garage at the corner of Broadway Ave. and Elm St. Parking is free in the garage on the weekend, and it's just a short walk from the gate. If the lot is full, there are plenty of lots around downtown where you can find a spot. Public spots are free on the weekends, but if you park at a business, we can't guarantee they won't charge.

Where is the entrance?

The gate is at the corner of Broadway Ave. and Erwin St. We will have multiple lines for entry at this point.

What's the gate schedule?

VIPs can begin checking in at 11 a.m. Check-in is at the VIP area at the gate where you will receive your VIP package. VIP entry is at 12 p.m. General admission entry is at 1 p.m., and gates open for the concert at 3:45 p.m.

Can we bring lawn chairs and/or blankets with us?

Yes! We will have areas for seating throughout the festival, but you are welcome to bring portable chairs with you. NOTE: Chairs will NOT be allowed in the VIP area directly in front of the stage, or in the designated standing room-only section in the general admission area. This will be strictly enforced by security during the festival.

What can we not bring with us?

Outside food or drinks of any kind, weapons, drugs, coolers, friends who waited too long to buy tickets, pets (service animals are welcome, of course) vegetarianism and bad attitudes.

What can we bring with us?

Sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen and most importantly, the party.

What's the music schedule?

We'll have live music playing all day during the festival. Here's the schedule:

Stanley's Famous Pit BBQ Stage
  • 11:30-3:45 p.m.: TBD
Bud Light Stage
  • 3:45-4:45 p.m.: Read Southall Band
  • 5:15-6:15 p.m.: Josh Weathers
  • 6:45-7:45 p.m.: Koe Wetzel
  • 8:15-9:30 p.m.: Pat Green
  • 10:00-11:30 p.m.: Aaron Watson
What barbecue joints will be there?
How do alcohol sales work?

We will have Bud Light tents set up in two locations where you can buy drink tickets. The price is $5 per ticket and the ticket tents will accept cash or credit cards. One ticket = one drink. Three tickets will get you into the Texas craft beer tent. Featured breweries in this year's craft beer tent include: True Vine Brewing Co., Saint Arnold Brewing Company, Lakewood Brewing Co., Rogue Brewing Co., Great Raft Brewing, 903 Brewers, Southern Star Brewing, Karbach Brewing Company and Firestone Walker.

NOTE: Per TABC regulations, we will have a separate gated party area for liquor sales. Drinks purchased inside this area cannot leave. We will have seating areas available.

What beverages will be served?
  • Alcoholic: Bud Light, Budweiser, Bud Light Lime, Ziegenbock, Michelob Ultra, True Vine Mermaids & Unicorns, True Vine True Culture, Bud Light Lime-A-Rita and Bud Light Straw-Ber-Rita.
  • Non-alcoholic: Water, Dr Pepper, Diet Dr Pepper, and 7Up and other options. Non-alcoholic drinks will be $2 and are cash only.
Can we come and go from the festival?

Absolutely! You will receive a wristband at the gate that will allow you to come and go as you please through the gate. So, be sure you leave the wristband on all night. No wristband = no re-entry.

Will I need to bring cash?

We highly recommend it. If you are planning on drinking or shopping, you will need cash. It will be up to individual vendors on whether they will accept credit/debit cards. We will have ATMs on site.

Will food be available to concert-only ticket holders?

Yes! In addition to the barbecue restaurants having the option to sell food starting at 4:00 PM, we will have food trucks on-site this year. This does not necessarily guarantee food will be available from all/any of the participating restaurants. Prices will be set at the discretion of the restaurants, as well as whether or not they will accept credit/debit cards. Again, if you need cash, there will be ATMs on site.
