In the Fall of 2015 Kyle Park released his fifth studio album, The Blue Roof Sessions, an ambitious project recorded at a house, with a blue roof, outside Austin, TX.

“I leased a house on Lake Travis in Austin. We brought all the recording equipment to the house and I wrote half the songs the month I recorded the album in the house, so it has a very natural, organic feeling.”

But just two singles ("What Goes Around Comes Around,""Come On"), and seven months into The Blue Roof Sessions, the can't-stop-won't-stop Kyle Park surprised us, and shifted his focus to more new music.

"'Rednecks With Paychecks' is always such a fun song to perform at the shows. Fans singing along is always hard to beat, but what's really special is watching the people in the crowd who've never heard the song. It's great to see them listening, laughing, and pointing at their redneck buddies during the different lines in the song. As a songwriter, that's what it's all about."

May of this year Park stopped by and debuted what would become his summer '16 hit, "Rednecks with Paychecks," on Radio Texas, LIVE! When we asked about the fast turn around during that visit, he simply told us, "It's time for new stuff!"
