Can you believe it's been fifteen years? On this date, Dec 26th, in 2001, Willie Nelson and Lee Ann Womack shot the beauriful music video for their song “Mendocino County Line” in Austin, Texas.

“Mendocino County Line” was written by Matt Serletic and Bernie Taupin and was released in January 2002 as the lead-off single from Nelson’s album The Great Divide. It became Neslon's first Top 40 hit on the U.S. country chart, peaking at number 22, since “Ain’t Necessarily So” in 1990.

The song went on to win the Grammy Award for Best Country Collaboration.

The iconic music video was directed by Mark Seliger. It was not filmed anywhere near Mendocino County…it was filmed at Willie Nelson’s Luck, Texas property.
