Man, Adam Hood's music filled up my late '00s. His album Different Grove is perfection -- and one of those albums that I blasted nonstop through my third-generation iPod. Turns out a young Parker McCollum was also enjoying our favorite Alabamian around that time as well.

In concert, in Alabama, over the weekend The Limestone Kid brought up the Opelika, AL native and surprised fans as the two traded verses on "Million Miles Away." You've always been able to hear the John Mayer influence in Parker McCollum, but I'll be damned if, now that I'm hearing them together, there's not a touch of Adam Hood in there too. Give the video a watch below.

If you still haven't hopped aboard the Adam Hood train, now is a great time. He's one of the most sought after songwriters in country music, and perhaps it's most under-appreciated performer. Adam Hood is the level above next level, and by God everyone needs to know these facts.

Hood is one of those guys who is your favorite singer's favorite singer. Miranda Lambert loves him. Cody Cannon co-writes hits with him, Little Big Town and Josh Abbott Band have cut his songs, and obviously Parker McCollum has held him in high regard since high school.

He just released a new single to Texas radio, and it is a soulful country anthem, be listening for "Business with Jesus" through your Radio Texas, LIVE! app and on Saturday nights during the live show.
