Despite their massive popularity and years of continuing success, Jason Boland & The Stragglers may be one of the most underappreciated bands of all time.

The Stragglers are one of the top country bands ever assembled, but not enough folks know this fact. As far as we're concerned the entire damn world oughta be singing along to "Somewhere Down in Texas." Hell, man, if all was right with America, "When I'm Stoned" would be overplayed on country radio.

For two and a half decades, Boland hasn't changed his style much, nor his delivery, not even the central theme of most of his music (aside from a recent foray into aliens) and it's always good. Often it's great. Yet, his music is massively under-served to country music lovers. These poor, poor souls.

The Stragglers are in the midst of their massive 25th Anniversary tour and the boys will make landfall in Tyler, TX at historic Stanely's Famous Pit BBQ this October.
