Was I the only one that was curious about why Kacey Musgraves wasn't walking the Red Carpet this week at the CMT Awards in Nashville?

Well, it turns out the answer to that question is a lot less dramatic than any type of intentional biscuit mindin' snub of the event. Miss Musgraves has been busy as a big haired bee this week out on the West Coast promoting her new record. It was Fallon on Tuesday, then Late Night With Seth Meyers on Wednesday to perform one of her new songs, "Family Is Family".

“Family is family, in church or in prison / You get what you get, and you don’t get to pick ‘em / They might smoke like chimneys but give you their kidneys / Yeah, friends come in handy, but family is family."

Isn't that the truth?

You can find this campy Kacey, Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne co-write on her upcoming album Pageant Material available on June 23rd.
