LISTEN UP! New Evan Felker ‘Whiskey in Your Water’

Turnpike Troubadours are still releasing songs to Texas radio from their album A Long Way From Your Heart, most recently "Unrung." Despite this, the legendary Red Dirt band, who announced their indefinite hiatus in May, have left a giant - albeit hopefully temporary - hole in the scene.

It's just different without Turnpike out pounding the road.

Today, we get our first listen to a new track from Evan Felker, “Whiskey In Your Water.” The song is part of Bruce Robison’s The Next Waltz Vol. 2 compilation album which will also include songs from William Clark Green, Flatland Cavalry, and more

Even though the song is new to us, it should be pointed out that according to Rolling Stone Country it was recorded before Turnpike Troubadours announced their hiatus. Oh, and we are absolutely loving the accompanying vocals from Carrie Rodriguez. The Next Waltz Volume 2 is out on November 29th.
