How Much are the Cheapest Homes in Texas?

The cheapest homes in Texas range from $8,000 to $15,000. This is quite cheap, but also consider all the work that may have to go into these homes -- or even if you'd buy it to simply replace the current structure with something new.

I will say, some of these look like they have pretty good bones. And, if you have the time, money, or resources, would make for a fantastic fixer-upper. I dare say some of these homes could be the dream for a DIY enthusiast.

It's always been a dream of mine to buy an old home and fix it up in a 'do it yourself' fashion. If only I was better with power tools. But who knows, maybe one day I'll buy a 'cheap' old house and see what I can do to it.

I'm sure that someone out there could come buy these houses up and use what is already there to turn them into beautiful, revived houses. If you look at them for what they probably used to be in their prime -- or could be in the future -- you can almost see the charm of these 'cheap' homes.

It is sad to see so many homes in a deteriorated state. I like to think about all the history older homes hold and the stories they could continue collecting if given the chance.
