Miranda Lambert has always sung songs about being a strong woman. Well, now she's putting her money where her music is. The newly single, six-time Academy of Country Music Female Vocalist of the Year has established a college scholarship for women.

The scholarship will benefit women wanting to further their education at Belmont University's Mike Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business in Nashville, Tennessee.

The Miranda Lambert Women Creators Fund will provide $40,000 to a female student who is majoring in music business, songwriting or entertainment industry studies starting in the 2016-17 academic year.

“I am so excited to establish this scholarship fund at Belmont University’s Mike Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business,” Lambert said in a statement from the university. “To encourage and empower women to achieve their goals is why I am supporting outstanding women who want to pursue their dreams in the music industry.”

In addition to the scholarship, Miranda will be bringing her brand of "Girl Power" to the street by hitting the road on her 2015 Roadside Bars and Pink Guitars Tour. This tour will feature an All-Woman vill that includes Ashely Monroe, RaeLynn, Courtney Cole and Clare Dunn.
