Sliverada, formerly Mike and the Moonpies, is unstoppable. They were great pre-name change and they're still one of the best live bands you'll ever see, no matter what we call them.

Back in '20, during the lockdown, the guys released, at the time, their seventh full-length album, Touch Of You – The Lost Songs of Gary Stewart, on Stewart’s birthday.

Like their previous surprise album (2019's Cheap Silver and Solid Country Gold), this project was produced by Adam Odor, but this one wasn't recorded at Abbey Road Studio in London with backing from the London Symphony Orchestra.

This piece of country music art, one of the best releases of 2020, features ten unreleased songs written or co-written by country music legend Gary Stewart throughout the late 1970s and 1980s.

Throughout their career, Mike and the boys have made it a point to pay homage to their heroes. The guys continue that tradition every time they pluck a guitar, hit a drum, and step on the stage.

A few years ago they went to Bruce Robison’s studio, The Bunker, to record a video of the Gary Stewart and Dean Dillon co-write “An Empty Glass." Give it a watch and fall in love with country music all over again.
