Southern rock fans are well aware that the window to see The Steel Woods is closing. One of the most popular "underground" country bands revealed this March that the band had decided to cease touring after 2024.

Lead singer Wes Bayliss took over as frontman for the country southern rock band in '21 after the death of Jason “Rowdy” Cope, at the age of 42, who passed away due to complications from diabetes.

“The Bible talks about the ones that are neither cold or hot being lukewarm and that’s been me for a really long time,” Bayliss says in a statement. “I find that things become easier when we stop trying to justify what we do in search of personal gain and start seeking God’s will for our lives and truly trusting in him to make a way and lead us through it.”

Guys, this will be one of your final chances to see The Steel Woods, as they headline Night 4 of Gordy's HWY 30 Music Fest.

The original Gordy’s Hwy 30 Music Fest is back June 19th-22nd in Filer, ID. This year you'll get live performances from Morgan Wade, Chase Rice, Shane Smith and the Saints, The Steel Woods, Treaty Oak Revival, Kolby Cooper, Muscadine Bloodline, Sam Riggs, and many more. Get more info and your tickets right here.

You'd be hard-pressed to find a spot more ideal than The Gem State to spend a few days during the summer.
