Sunny Sweeney Is Back With Her Edgy New Song, ‘Bad Girl Phase’

Sunny Sweeney is getting ready to release her first album in three years. Judging from the first single, 'Bad Girl Phase', the East Texas native hasn't lost any of her attitude.

Sweeney - a 2013 ACM "New Female Artist" Award nominee - showed her softer side for a couple of singles from 'Concrete' and it paid off for her. Sweeney received much deserved national recognition, but I have personally been hoping some of her songs that hang on the fringe of mainstream would catch on. That's why I'm glad the unapologetic 'Bad Girl Phase' is here, and I'm rooting for it to be a success. Check out the lyric video for the song here:

It's okay to love her less edgy hits like 'From A Table Away' and 'Staying's Worse Than Leaving", but it's songs like 'Bad Girl Phase' that shows off Sweeney's uniqueness as a singer. This song is fun, clever and cool, and shows off her Texas honky tonk roots.
