One thing all Texans are feeling today is the effects of inflation. Thanks to inflation the price of groceries is going through the roof, not only from inflation but price gouging from one grocery store chain, and the cost of rent and insurance are out of control too. Those are just a few examples of things just being way too expensive for Texas families.

Despite inflation, Texans still want to get out there and enjoy life with their family and friends but doing it without breaking the bank.

While Texas has many amusement parks, museums, state parks, mini-golf courses, and other activities for us to find our thrills, we're looking for things that will not bust our budgets.

In East Texas every month there is an event that is free for anyone to attend and that's Canton's First Monday Trade Days. The only thing required here is parking and that's an affordable $5. You can spend the entire day walking around a huge open-air flea market and never spend anything. Speaking from experience though, you have to be vigilant and resist the temptation to buy something! If you can do that then you'll be out nothing but see some very interesting things.
