The Lamar County Chamber of Commerce released details on their Facebook page about the Paris Games 2024 and some of the events that will be taking place. It’s not all the normal events you would expect but they have some fun activities taking place and the games are set to kick off with Opening Ceremonies on August 3rd at 8:30 am on the plaza.

When Will the Games/Events Take Place?

All events will begin that morning (Saturday, August 3rd at 10:00 am). To register for an event there is a $5 entry fee and that needs to be paid in person at the event.

What Events Will Be Taking Place in the 2024 Paris Games?

The events set up currently include: Pickleball, Weightlifting, Disc Golf, Longest Drive (Golf), Putting Contest (Golf), Hot Dog Eating Contest, Tug of War, Pump Track, Cornhole, Bowling, Darts, Shuffleboard, and Horseshoes.

And don’t worry, beyond just normal bragging rights there will also be metals awarded to winners in each competition. Also, I just want to applaud the Lamar County Chamber of Commerce for coming up with this clever idea to bring the community together for something positive.

We wish all athletes the best as they prepare for the gold.
