There are lots of people in Texas that love to have parties or get together and adding balloons can bring even more excitement. It’s funny how just these simple balloons can make kids happy for hours. It’s also common to see families set ballons free when celebrating the life of a family member who has passed away.

But there are farmers in Texas that are begging people to quit letting balloons go because they are killing animals.

Scrolling through social media recently, I saw a picture of a man picking up balloons in a large field. There was a long caption to the photo and most times I skip over those but for some reason I wanted to see what this one said, and it turned out to be important information.

How are Balloons Killing Farm Animals?

When you let a balloon go, sure it looks great floating through the sky, but eventually it’s going to fall down. And if that balloon lands in an area where a horse, goat or cow is living, those animals often confuse the balloons for food which can cause intestinal blocking or choking. Most times there is nothing that can be done to save the animal.

Stop Releasing Balloons

It’s time to rethink releasing balloons into the sky, we don’t want to kill animals. We can find other ways to celebrate or bring excitement to a gathering. This is important information, if you share this with friends and family it would be much appreciated. It’s all about protecting innocent animals.

Dangerous Texas Gangs And Their Rivals

The rise of gang culture in Texas has been a steady one

The more prevalent gangs are, the more likely the average citizen is to cross paths with affiliated members. As the population of Texas has increased in size and diversity, so have the gangs of the Lone Star state.

If you're not mixed up in organized crime shenanigans, then you're probably safe. But as the old adage goes, the more you know the better prepared you are.
