Three People From Tyler Are Currently In A Nevada Jail For A 2020 Shooting Rampage.

On Thanksgiving of 2020, two brothers and a woman married to one of them drove through Henderson, NV, and began randomly shooting at people.

One man, Kevin Mendiola Jr. was killed at a 7-Eleven. They then drove into Arizona, where there were additional shootings, including one involving a police officer. All three were arrested after their car rolled over.

The Details On This Random Act Of Violence Is Shocking.

Christopher McDonnell, his brother, Shawn McDonnell, 34; and Shawn McDonnell’s then-wife, Kayleigh Lewis, 29 according to police and prosecutors went on an 11-hour rampage that began on Nov. 26, 2020.

After killing Mendiola Jr. they committed a drive-by shooting that wounded several people then got into a chase involving officers from the Arizona Department of Public Safety, and it all ended near the Colorado River town of Parker, Arizona, after they crashed a car with a Texas license plate and the wounding of Shawn McDonnell by troopers wielding assault-style rifles.

They were returned in custody to Las Vegas, where a grand jury indicted them in March 2021.

Christopher McDonnell Has Plead Guilty To 23 Felonies Charges

Christopher had been indicted on 55 counts, and his trial had been scheduled for next month but he pleaded guilty to 23 counts including murder, attempted murder, murder conspiracy, weapon charges, and being a felon illegally in possession of a firearm.

He will face life in prison with a broad range of parole eligibility, a minimum of 21 years and a maximum of 164 years. The plea agreement does not require Christopher McDonnell to testify at a jury trial set to begin Nov. 4 for his former wife and older brother.

  • Shawn McDonnell faces 54 felony charges including committing an act of terror and could face the death penalty if convicted.
  • Kayleigh Lewis faces 53 felony charges also including an act of terror, but will not face a possible death sentence.
