So this wasn't already a thing? One of America's most iconic action television and movie actors, Chuck Norris, is now officially a Texan!

Norris is a native Oklahoman, but we don't hold that against him, we're too scared to. He actually owns a ranch in Grimes County, and on Tuesday (April 4) was designated as an Honorary Texan by the state Senate. The actor and his wife, Gena, appeared in the chamber and the long-time star of "Walker, Texas Ranger" was presented with a Senate gavel, used once to proclaim passage of a resolution honoring him, and a flag that had been flown over the Alamo.
