The Beautiful Mrs. Baird Bread Texas Ranch Is Now For Sale, Outside of Austin
The Family Of A Well Known Texas Brand Is Selling A Huge Ranch In The Texas Hill Country Less Than An Hour From Austin.
In 1901, William and Ninnie Baird brought their family from Tennessee to Fort Worth, Texas and in 1908 after running a successful restaurant business, Ninnie launched "Mrs. Baird's Bread" which has become a Lone Star institution.
In 1951, the family purchased a 761 acre ranch in Johnson City and named it The Baird Miller Creek Ranch. At least three generations of Bairds have cared for the property and now its on the market.
Baird Miller Creek Ranch offers tremendous privacy and would make an incredible exclusive retreat.
The ranch comes with three modest one-story structures, two of which were described as smaller cabins and the other, as a bigger main house according to co-listing agent Ross Studer of Republic Ranches.
The property also includes access to 3,900 feet of Miller Creek, with ownership on both sides, providing "unparalleled" privacy.
The wildlife that can be found in the area consists of native game and nongame species.
These include white-tailed deer, turkey, dove, quail and predators; and of course there will likely be a feral hog rooting around from time to time. The owner is currently grazing a small herd of iconic longhorn cattle.
The owner’s grandparents felt strongly about maintaining and conserving this piece of Texas and in 1990, a conservation easement was placed on this property to limit its future uses and conserve the ranch in perpetuity.
It Can All Be Yours For $12.9 Million Dollars.
There's a lot more to see so let's take a tour outside and look at this magnificent piece of Texas property and history.
